The San Carlos Plaza Hotel Resort has a large convention center called Mar De Cortez, where one
can hold up to 800 people for dinner and 900 in auditorium style and is also divisible for
multiples events. The hotel offers two restaurants inside. One is El Kiosko, which is
considered as a cafeteria type and the other one is an Italian Gourmet restaurant Joey Bistro.
The Passione Bar offers live music and one can see one*s favorites sport matches. Outside,
there are two large pools, of which one is heated. There is a Jacuzzi and a kids heart shaped
pool. There is a Palapa, which serves snacks and drinks in the pool area, and a pool bar
available for drinks. Right next to the pool area, there is a water sport center for people
who want to enjoy water sports like jet skiing, banana rides, snorkel, kayak, diving, fishing,
sunset cruises, ATVs, horse back riding, sealing, hiking, etc. Behind the hotel there is a
wonderful and splendid range of mountains that one can climb. 

This hotel offers 173 rooms from presidential suite, master suite, junior suites, and deluxe
standard rooms to ocean view. The rooms have two double beds and a few rooms with king size
bed. The rooms are equipped with TV dish signal and bathtubs and are fully carpeted. 

This hotel is proud to have had distinguished guests such as Antonio Banderas and his wife
Melanie and the cast of the Mask of Zorro. All of the ocean scenes were filmed here in San
Carlos. On a scale from one to 10, San Carlos would rate a nine in regards to beauty and
safety between all Mexican resort areas.
