Hotel Description:
Hotel Irma offers affordable accommodations overlooking Zihuatanejo Bay. Situated atop a cliff,
this quaint, colonial-style hotel opened in 1968 and has become well known for its guestrooms'
breathtaking views. Renovated in 1997, the hotel guestrooms are comfortable, simple, no-frills
affairs. The simple interiors and location away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Ixtapa
resorts makes this a great place for those seeking quiet, rustic charm, and a taste of
authentic Mexican culture. A long staircase reaches from the hotel, descending down a 50-foot
cliff, to the calm waters of the Playa La Madera below. The hotel also offers two swimming
pools overlooking the beach for guests that prefer sunning from on high.

wood chairs, wooden beams, and stone columns, this small restaurant offers a charming setting
for a casual meal. Limited room service is available. For offsite dining, Kau Kan, a favorite
among visitors to the area, is right next door. Guests will find live jazz music and seafood
at the nearby Bay Club and pizza at the neighboring Kontiki restaurant. There are many other
dining options in the surrounding area.
The hotel lies about a 20-minute walk to the main commercial center of Zihuatanejo. Guests
will be able to reach attractions like the Archaeological Museum and the Mercado des
Artesanias on foot. Ixtapa is five miles from the hotel. Guests can reach the Zihuatanejo
airport in seven miles.
